About
Hi, I'm really glad you're here.
I'm Rach, and I use she/they pronouns. I'm an LGBTQIA+ Counsellor and Facilitator based in Liverpool, UK and online.
"
I'd like to acknowledge you, for finding your way here.
Taking those first steps and finding support might be feeling a bit daunting.
"

Rach (She/They)
Counsellor, trainer, and proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
MY STORY
Human First.
Counsellor Second.

Put simply, I am a human being, and with that come my own personal journey, experiences, learning, and knowledge. Being human comes with its many vulnerabilities, and I know those places might feel painful, frightening, upsetting, and many other feelings pulled into the mix. This and my belief in being real and genuine are at the heart of how I show up in my work.

As someone who has personally experienced mental health struggles, I understand the importance and the courage it takes to seek help. That's a big part of why I became a counsellor; so I can be present with others going through similar experiences, without judgement and without assumptions.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have a deep passion for supporting queer people and creating spaces where they feel supportive. I bring my whole self to this work, not just my qualifications.

Outside of the therapy room, I spend time with my fiancée and our three cats, reading crime fiction, powerlifting and staying connected with LGBTQIA+ work in the community.

I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of everything. You are always in the driving seat, we go at your pace, with your comfort and safety at the centre.
-
LGBTQIA+ affirming
You don't need to explain your identity before I can help. I will use your language and check the things I'm unsure of.
-
Trauma-informed
I understand the courage it takes to bring up traumatic experiences. You are in the driving seat, and we go at your pace.
-
Human first
I bring my whole self to this work — my lived experience, my vulnerabilities, and my genuine belief in your capacity to heal.
-
Neurodivergent-friendly
Sessions are flexible and adapted to your needs — there's no one-size-fits-all approach here.
-
